You might have noticed that you didn't hear from me yesterday. Well, yesterday was a work day. I stayed in my room the whole day and got down to the business of writing. But today, I took another little tour of Indiana.
I took a little trip to Zionsville, just outside Indianapolis. A perfect tourist's detour. Lots of little shops in an historic setting.
This former church is now called "The Sanctuary", an artist's gallery.
And then I had to do a little wine tasting. When I worked in a winery about thirteen years ago, we learned that there is at least one winery in every state of the union...whether there should be or not! But my little diversion to Buck Creek showed me that you can have a decent wine in Indiana!
Most on their list were sweet wines, but I steered clear of those (rhubard and strawberry: can you say Boone's Farm?) I also skipped the Zinfandel and Cab. I can find that just fine in California. Instead, I chose some varietals I wasn't familiar with: Seyval Blanc grapes and Chambourcin, so a white and a red. Into the luggage they go!
On my way back, I stopped by a Barnes & Noble to see if my books were on the shelves. Afterall, today is the release of the paperback of Veil of Lies!
In fact, that particular B&N only had one copy...of the paperback. So I signed it and left some bookmarks.
